The Best Natural Hair Growth Treatment

Baldness is a common word that is called as ‘Aloepecia’ in medical terms. As per the American Hair Loss Association, around 85% of men have substantial hair thinning by the time they reach 50. In some cases the “hair loss in men” even begins at a young age of 21. A very common kind of hair loss in men – the male pattern hair loss – affects about half of the men over the age of 50 and most men at some stage in their lives. The hair loss continues over time and may lead to almost complete baldness.

What Causes Hair Loss In Men?

More than 95% of causes of hair loss in men are due to male-pattern baldness, a genetic characteristic. Such condition is hereditary (genetic) and various different genes have been shown to be involved. The genes can emanate from either parent. In rest of the 5% cases, it can be due to certain medications, having more than required vitamin A, or deficiency of protein can also cause hair loss for men. Intense and sudden shedding of hair known as telogen effluvium can be because of stress or illness. Male hair loss not due to male-pattern baldness often reverses itself.

What Is Male Pattern Baldness ?

Male pattern baldness is a widespread type of hair loss that occurs in most men as they get older. Typically, at the first stage many men start to lose hair above the temples.  At the same time, hair loss usually continues on the top of head and sometimes the hair fall from the sides and rear of the head as well. A bald patch develops over time in the middle of scalp. The receding sides and the bald patch on the top enlarge over time and merge together. A rim of hair is normally left around the back and sides of the scalp. In some men, this rim of hair also gradually thins out leading to a complete baldness. This condition is sometimes called androgenic alopecia because it’s connected with the presence of androgens, hormones that regulate masculine characteristics.

Who Gets Male Pattern Baldness ?

The age when men’s hair loss begins varies. Nearly three in ten men aged 30 years and half of men aged 50 years have substantial balding. Mostly all men have some hair loss by the time they are in their 60s.
What Causes Male Pattern Baldness?

Hair is developed in hair follicles that are like minute pouches just under the skin surface. A hair usually sprouts and grows from each follicle for approximately three years. It’s then shed and a new hair sprouts from the follicle. This cycle of hair growth, falling out and new growth goes on. Gradually, a hormone known as DHT causes hair follicles to shrink. Eventually, the follicles shrink so much that no hair can grow in them.  As you grow old, the process of male pattern baldness goes through as explained below:

(i) The weak hair follicles on the scalp gradually get tinier than normal.

(ii) As the follicle shrinks, each new hair is thinner than the preceding one.

(iii) Before shedding, each new hair grows for far lesser time than the usual three years or so.

(iv) Consequently, what remain are a far tinier hair follicle and a thin remnant of hair that does not grow out to the skin surface.

Natural Hair Loss Treatments For Men

(1) Quit Smoking To Delay Hair Loss : Several studies show a noticeable connection between smoking and how quick male pattern baldness gets graver. So if you need one more reason to quit smoking, add pre-mature hair loss to your list.

(2) Egg Oil (Eyova) Or Coconut Oil : Massage coconut or egg oil onto your scalp, using your fingertips in small circular motions. Make sure not to rub or caress hard against the hair roots like many people do. Just use your fingertips very gently in small circular motion about 20 times for every section of the scalp. Apply this remedy twice a week.

Note: Only few experts back it up. Some people believe that it safeguards the hair, locks in moisture, and supplies healthy nutrients to your scalp, consequently helps hair growth. However by and large, science says there’s no natural solution as such.

(3) Hair Loss Shampoo For Men – Use Natural Shampoos And Hair Products: Hair loss in men occurs with age – it’s nature of human body that it deteriorates with passage of time. The hair products you use can aggravate the hair fall problem. As a rule avoid or cut down on using artificial shampoos and gels that contain toxic chemicals – consider using all-natural hair products.

(4) Herbal Oil: Use good quality herbal hair oil to massage your scalp twice a week so as to increase blood circulation in the skin of your scalp. Wait for at least 30-45 minutes, and wash your hair with a natural basic shampoo. Air dry or dry out your hair with a soft, clean towel. Don’t rub your hair, simply pat it dry. Wet hair can injure the hair follicle by weighing it down.

5. De-Stress: Have you heard of the phrase – Someone or something stressing you out so much that they are “making your hair fall out”. It’s true that stress can affect your health, organs – including hair. Take out some time to meditate, do yoga or simply relax or do something you like such as listening to calm and slow music.

6. Onion Juice: In some cases, topical application of onion juice over the bald patches on you scalp helps promote hair growth. Use this remedy at least three times a week.
